We Are The Restaurant design Firm with Over 46 Years Of Experience

Thomas Banis is a founder and principal of Banis Restaurant Design, Inc. established in 1977. He is Director of Design and has created the interiors for many successful restaurants, golf clubhouses, schools and community kitchens. Focusing on the finest materials, cutting edge design and functionality, the firm specializes in Foodservice Consulting that informs our design for function and ease of service.

Thomas brings to the table 45 years of commercial kitchen & restaurant design experience and together with his wife Marie, also operate Certified Kitchens, a commercial kitchen rentals located at 2428 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley.

Mr. Banis is a graduate of University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and University of California at Berkeleywith a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design with an emphasis in Interior Architecture. Banis Restaurant Design, Inc. is approved by the Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco/Oakland and the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco representing the Western States for foodservice consultation and construction.
